FlickerClan of RunningForest Empty
PostSubject: FlickerClan of RunningForest   FlickerClan of RunningForest Icon_minitimeFri Nov 05, 2010 9:39 pm

It's just a small little story I made up in like a couple hours or so... Never really kept track of time. I may add onto it, may not.

The rays of the rising sun washed the forest in orange, all was calm and the only movement was the rustle of the tree leaves. A rather small dark purple pelted she-cat walked through the forest with ginger in her mouth, bright forest green eyes looking cautiously around. A tan-pelted grey spotted tom-cat appeared, “Hello, Lavenderpaw.” He greeted, ears flicking towards the ginger Lavenderpaw was holding. Lavenderpaw blinked slowly, setting down the ginger she gathered thoughts in her mind to speak, “That’s ginger, and although it’s not needed at the moment it may be needed later. What are you doing in this part of the forest Asheye?” she meowed, tail flicking over to the north west where the camp lay. “I was just sent on a patrol, no outside cats may be around but that doesn’t mean foxes, dogs, or badgers don’t travel here. I was heading back anyways, we might as well go together.” He said, almost emotionlessly. With a slight hesitation Lavenderpaw picked up the ginger and walked north west with Asheye.

The two cats made their way through bushes and tall grass, past a slightly large pond and into a small area where other cats dwelled. The ground went from damp dirt to dry sand, There was a large tree off to the right side with one thick branch sticking out about 3 feet from the ground. Underneath it a large hole dwelt, to the north left of the tree were about three smaller trees, bent down to the ground. Big enough for ten cats to sleep in per tree. In the middle lay a flat rock where small dead animals lay.

Lavenderpaw continued into a small rock cave straight on ahead, while Asheye turned away to the freshkill pile, flicking the tip of his tail as a goodbye. As she dipped her head to get into the cave it got bigger and wider, gray rock rose up and made them appear like tables on the side of the walls. On these tables were neatly piled herbs, many different kinds separated from each other, Lavenderpaw made her way through drooping moss to the smallest table where one ginger lay, she put down about three of them and went back out of the cave.

“Hey Lavenderpaw! Over here!” A orange tabby she-cat was sitting up, attention turned over to Lavenderpaw. Another white black spotted cat sat right next to her cleaning the top of her head, both of them were bigger than Lavenderpaw because of their age, but she didn’t seem to mind. Picking up three plump mice she headed towards the two other cats. She dipped her head to the white and black tom, “Hello Rockclaw,” then turning her head to the orange tabby she did the same, “Hello Flamepelt.” Rockclaw and Flamepelt nodded back, and grabbed one mouse as Lavenderpaw set them down. Lavenderpaw laid down as the cats did likewise; taking a mouthful of prey her forest green eyes scanned the clearing. Thornpaw, the son of the leader and deputy was a young black-pelted agile apprentice of Asheye and Velvetpaw the ginger tabby apprentice of Rockclaw were sharing a rabbit brother and sisters green eyes locked and chattering near the apprentice den- the first thick leafed bent over tree to the left of the main tree. The leader; Pawstar; a long tailed grey tomcat with gold eyes was cleaning the deputy; Gingertail; a female ginger colored she-cat with green eyes. Two black spotted ginger pelted kits tumbled out of the nursery; the tree-den farthest to the main tree. Rockclaw turned around with a scornful look on his face at the bigger kit, “Longkit, go back to the nursery! Your mother is probably worried sick!” At the moment a white spotted ginger she-cat dashed from the den frantically, but the calmed down as she saw both kits safe and sound. Glancing over to the apprentice den then back to Rockclaw she let out a purr, “Ah, Asheye is back, good. As for you two… Longkit, Cloudkit back to the nursery!” she hissed gently. The two kits waddled back to the nursery, heads and tails down with their mother Soarflight behind them. Looking over to the den in the middle of the nursery and apprentice den she relaxed a bit seeing two elders, Inkear; a white pelted tomcat with black ears and Gentlesun; a black she-cat eating together.

This was FlickerClan of the Running Forest, The only cat clan in the forest.
